Networking helped me land my first professional animation job. When I started learning animation, I didn't have industry connections, mentors, or a clear understanding of how animation studios hired artists.

Like many aspiring animators, I focused almost entirely on improving my animation skills and demo reel. But eventually I discovered that building relationships with people in the animation industry was just as important as developing my craft.
